Transcription: This video demonstrates the finite element technique we had developed for animating breaking objects. The objects are dynamically remeshed to accommodate the fractures that form due to deformation-induced internal stresses. The high-speed video footage on the left shows a bowl breaking as it strikes the floor. The images on the right right were generated from a simulation run with similar initial conditions.
